Widow's Web Bundle Knitting Patterns - Scarf and Shawl

$9.00

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A PDF DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY PATTERN.

Knit yourself a pair of dreamy cobweb creations.

~ The Widow's Web Scarf is created one half at a time, starting from the center with a provisional cast on, and working pattern repeats until achieving desired length.

Choose from the two sizes specified in the pattern, or play around with repeats to find your preferred length:
Small: 77” x 20” {195.57cm x 50.79cm}
Large: 102” x 20” {259.07cm x 50.79cm}

Due to the airy, lacy nature of this piece, gauge is not important; feel free to experiment with yarn weights, and needle sizes.

Please note that this is a PDF digital download only, not a finished piece.

Pattern in English only.

Skill Level: Intermediate - experience required

Recommended yarn:
Fyberspates Cumulus
Fingering
74% Alpaca / 26% Silk

You will need two skeins of Cumulus for each given size:
Small: 197 yds {180 m}
Large: 265 yds {242 m}

Fyberspates Cumulus is listed as a lace to fingering weight, but is on the heavier side, the thicker core, coupled with the halo, make it almost a sport weight. A suitable alternative would be two strands of lace weight kid silk held double.

Needles/Notions:
No. 17 {12.75mm} straight or circular needles
Size M {9mm} crochet hook
Locking stitch marker
Fingering scrap yarn

~ The Widow's Web Shawl is worked from the top down, starting with a crochet cast-on. A beginning eyelet row is worked to set-up the pattern, then shawl is decreased one eyelet per row until there is only one left.

Measurements with tassels:
104” wide x 52” long {264.15cm x 132.07cm}

Due to the airy, lacy nature of this piece, gauge is not important; feel free to experiment with yarn weights, and needle sizes.

Recommended yarn:
Fyberspates Cumulus
Fingering 74% Alpaca / 26% Silk
3 skeins needed - 420 yds {385 m}
Needles/Notions:
No. 15 {10mm} straight or circular needles
Size M {9mm} crochet hook
